You should have a demonstrated impact on disabled people — either through targeted design solutions or universally designed products — and address problems arising due to disability, health, and/or aging. Your product will focus on one or more of the following areas:
Remarkable seeks post-product, post-revenue startups that haven’t experienced massive revenue or growth yet.
For med-tech-focused companies, we understand that post-revenue may not be achieved yet. You should still apply.
We like founders with global aspirations, and we seek hardware or software technology that could be scaled.
While we’ll be prioritizing US-based startups for the US cohort, we welcome applications from global companies.
We’re called Remarkable for a reason. We want to push the boundaries of technology — we’re not looking for copies of a technology that’s already in-market. What makes your startup unique? What makes your startup remarkable?
The program will run from August through November 2024.
The total expected commitment during an average week will be around 7 to 10 hours. Group programming will take place from 6:30 – 7:30 PM ET on Tuesdays and 4:00 – 6:00 PM ET on Thursdays. The remainder of the time will be coaching, mentor sessions, applicable masterclasses, or heads-down work on a particular area guided by your coach or mentor.
The program will be mostly virtual, though we will make an effort to bring the group together in-person at some point during the program.
Applications for our next program open March 2024.
We accept applications from individuals and teams. If you’re applying as an individual, please consider how you’ll continue running your business while managing the program deliverables. Consider engaging volunteers or interns to run of parts of your business and help support you.
Investment terms are $55,000 for 5% equity. If startups have raised capital, we will match current valuation by adjusting our percentage share. We are committed to providing investment terms that are founder-friendly and are happy to discuss it with you at any point in this process.
Stage 1 – The Application

Yes, we love the intersection between disability, aging and health. We look for applicability to the disability sector and we often find that there is quite a bit of overlap with the aged care market.
