By accelerating tech startups, investment and partnerships, we create a world of opportunity, access and possibility for people with disability.
The idea for Remarkable started in 2012 with a global competition run by Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) that sparked the concept of a solar powered wheelchair.
Following the success of this competition in 2014, CPA started running ‘Enabled by Design-athon’ a hackathon style event run in partnership with Enabled by Design (UK), the University of Technology Sydney and FutureGov (UK) with support from NSW Department of Family and Community Services.
In 2015, Telstra Foundation offered to partner with CPA and Life Labs was born, which was soon renamed Remarkable in early 2016.
To help achieve our mission Remarkable’s strategy has evolved to provide a suite of offerings including:
Through our podcast, annual Tech Summit and Thought Leadership content pieces we strive to share insights and cultivate a global awareness-of and investment-in the Disability Tech market.
We offer a suite of global programs that support Disability Tech entrepreneurs and innovators throughout their startup journey, from ideation-stage all the way to scaling their product.
To support the growth and sustainability of Disability Tech startups we offer opportunities to apply for Seed to Series A funding.
