Today we are celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)!
The purpose of GAAD is to raise awareness and start conversations about the importance of digital access and inclusion. Through these discussions, the hope is to build an understanding of how people with disability experience digital environments such as websites, mobile devices/apps, software, social media and videos and to outline the changes required to achieve equitable access to information.
Although there is still a lot of work needed to improve the digital divide around the world, on this day we’re proud to be part of a community of incredible disability-tech changemakers. These people have harnessed the power of accessible digital technology to build products that remove barriers for people with disability, from accessible online platforms connecting people with disabilities with locals offering companionship, to games designed to detect hearing loss in children. We want to thank this community for leading by example and actively working toward a more accessible future.

It’s important that we also take this opportunity to acknowledge that Remarkable as a team is on a journey to strive to be better when it comes to digital accessibility. So today we’re reminded of our commitment to continuously improve and evolve as we work towards a time when everyone regardless of how they access our content, achieves the same digital experience and feels truly included.
