I am a former lawyer, and I also worked in project management before moving to management in the software development space. Now I run my own company providing strategic business advice to start-ups and corporates.

What are your core areas of expertise, particularly when it comes to mentoring for Remarkable?

My core areas of expertise are product vision and strategy.

What inspired you to become a mentor for Remarkable?

The amazing start-ups that have come out of previous cohorts and the obvious need for tech development to focus on improving quality of life for people with disabilities.

Are there any parts of the accelerator program that you particularly enjoy?

Meeting with the start-ups and seeing their progress. I also really loved the first pitch night where all startups introduced their product.

What is your top tool, blog, book or podcast that you’d recommend others look at?

For start-up businesses, I strongly recommend reading “Competing against Luck” by Clayton Christensen. It will fundamentally change how you approach your start-up idea.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in your work life that you would like to pass on to the startups?

How you think will shape how you feel, act and what you achieve. Watch your thoughts!
