About TheUser Feedback Community

The Remarkable User Feedback Community is a friendly and inclusive space that connects Disability Tech Innovators to people with lived experience of disability. Your feedback will help shape the future of accessible and inclusive products and services.

Remarkable manages the User Feedback database and partners with Disability Tech Innovators to support inclusive design. We do this by sharing invitations via email to our Community Members to engage in virtual feedback opportunities like surveys, interviews, and product reviews hosted by the Disability Tech Innovators in the Remarkable network such as startup founders and technology researchers.

While we don’t conduct the feedback sessions, we facilitate connections between Innovators and people with lived experience of disability. Community Members may even earn rewards for their valuable contributions.

What is User Feedback?

keyboard_arrow_down

User Feedback involves seeking feedback from users (or potential users) on their experiences of a product or service, including things such as likes, dislikes, preferences and priorities; the usability of products and areas for improvement; and  insights into how the product or service could benefit people with disability.

You may be asked to test actual products, but you do not need specific skills to do this – just to share your thoughts and experiences about using the product.

User Feedback Eligibility

We define lived experience as the unique life experiences of people with disability, as well as their carers and family members. Lived experience engagement in a User Feedback context, is using the knowledge gained through the sharing of these experiences to ensure Disability Tech is being designed with people with disability.

Remarkable works with innovators developing technologies that could benefit people with a range of disabilities and neurodiversity. We want to grow our User Feedback Community to be as diverse as possible to meet the needs of our Innovators and welcome people with a range of lived experience of disability to join.

Community Members must be over the age of 18 years to be involved. If you are a parent or guardian of a child with a disability under 18 years of age, you are welcome to join.

The email will include information about the Opportunity, the time required, the due date and the reward. Global Cohort: from 21 May
US Cohort: from 23 May

The frequency of feedback requests will vary depending on the needs of our network of Remarkable Disability Tech Innovators. We aim to respect your time and only reach out when necessary with relevant opportunities. There is never any obligation for you to accept any offers to participate in User Feedback. Equally, while we are building our Community, the frequency of opportunities may be less, but we aim to add value by sharing news about Disability Tech.

You may not be selected to participate in every Opportunity that you would like to be involved in. Selection of Community Members for Opportunities is at the discretion of the Disability Tech Innovator who may choose people based on a range of characteristics to ensure they are seeking a diverse range of feedback.

People with lived experience of disability may receive rewards as a thank you to acknowledge their contribution. The reward available will be outlined in the email with each User Feedback Opportunity.

You must complete the User Feedback Opportunity to receive the reward. Completion of the User Feedback Opportunity will be verified by the Disability Tech Innovator.

Rewards will usually be provided via a digital gift card.

Remarkable works with startups from around the globe developing Disability Tech and has close relationships with technology researchers and student innovators through Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s affiliation with the University of Sydney. We promote inclusive design and will support them to access User Feedback through our Community.
